OATS’ History

Since 1984OATS has been providing innovative lubricant data solutions. Originally started by two former Lubricant technical specialists, it became part of the Haynes Publishing Group in December 2016. It then expanded its team of data and software development, alongside technical consultants dedicated to collaborating with our global customers. This collaborative effort aims to strengthen its product marketing and management initiatives worldwide.


Today, as part of Infopro Digital Automotive, the OATS database, translated into 30+ languages, is the largest single source for equipment and lubricant recommendations. It is used globally by some of the world’s best-known petrochemical brands, Automotive Aftermarket industries and OE manufacturers.
